Change of plans (pout)

Well here I sit in my office at my computer instead of getting off the plane in Portland to visit Calista and family for Christmas. BUMMER!

We have been following the news very closely and I was already a little worried. Then Steve called this morning and said the Portland office cancelled work today because of ice and snow etc. By the time I got on the vanpool to come home from work Bill called and told me I could start crying because we weren't going to Oregon.

To make a long story short I was on the phone quite a while with a Delta rep trying to sort out what to do with our reservations. When we were finished she had us booked on a flight to Oregon AFTER Christmas (Friday) and returning home on Sunday. About 48 hours to visit the kids and grandkids...BUMMER.

A while later a customer service agent from Delta called back and asked if I was happy with the arrangments. NO! She asked if we would like to extend our stay (changing the ticket for no additional fee) It still isn't what I want, but we will be able to stay till Tuesday instead. That is much better. ANyway...those are our revised Christmas plans. We'll spend Christmas Eve with Kathy's family in Sprinville...(so we'll get to see Nicia and Joe!) Then we'll be home with Wes on Christmas day and off to Oregon the next day. We'll take what we can get..."Come what may and love it" Merry Christmas to all of you!

BIG BUMMER! I am so sorry you had to change your plans. I know you were probably looking SO forward to being there!!! How fun to be with family on Christmas, either way. I hope you enjoy your revised visit... :) No matter how short.

p.s. you never know! The weather may be bad coming BACK and you might get yourself a couple more days. :)

Just think though...some of us sent our gifts Calista's way so you get to celebrate ALL over again!!

Sorry you can't do what you want with it though. Dratted weather!

We are really disappointed that you can't be here in time for Christmas, but we are looking forward to you getting to see you at all :) Enjoy your Christmas with Aunt Kathy's family, and we'll see you this weekend.
