Nothing is as wonderful as

Nothing is as wonderful as sleep when you have been up since 4:30 AM and worked till 7 PM...It's now 8:15, I know I'm supposed to put all the directions on here, but I am sooo tired and Wesley is waiting for the computer. I have enjoyed reading everyone's great moments!

Hogle Zoo July 2007

Here are Kellen and Maddi just arrived at Salt Lake City's Hogle Zoo. In the bird exhibit, the bird is trained to take donations from the kids and put in the donation box. So here's Emily and Kellen making their donations. The bottom picture is Kellen and Emily in the children's play area of the zoo.

A drive in the Uintas

These are some pictures we took of the beatuiful Provo Falls that are in the Uinta Mountains. We had to take Wes up to camp during the summer and the drive was georgeous!

The Quartet

Ok, This is the quartet actually singing at the graduation and them as they are walking away...They were quite impressive, too bad I don't have a recording!

Barbershop Quartet

Left to right...Steve, Chris "Jack" and Bobby. These 4 auditioned for singing the National Anthem at their graduation and the board was all in tears. They did a beautiful job. They were in danger of not being able to sing because Steve wasn't going to graduate, he didn't have all his papers in (You had to be a graduating senior to be able to participate in graduation) Anyway the other guys dragged him through his assignments and made him finish so they could sing...It was wonderful

Wesley's graduation...May 2007

Ok, here's the graduate (he calls himself "Jack") It's a little late, but maybe I can post anyway.

Peace, be still.

It is Friday evening. I am alone, and quiet, and not busy! There are many families in our ward that have needed assistance this week. The Lord has blessed us to be able to do all that we usually do, as well as serve much and we have been strengthened because of it. Tonight Wes is at work and Bill is at the winter Klondike with the scouts. I could be doing much at home right now, but I have decided to be "listless". No cleaning, no cooking, no running, shopping or errands. There is peace in my life tonight and I will enjoy it!

I love reading the blogs of my family and friends and being able to take a peek into your lives. It is wonderful to see how you interact with your children and spouses and weave the pattern of your lives. It is even more wonderfull that you are willing to share it openly and help others through your sharing. (Yes, even the difficult days...perhaps especially those) The support I see here warms my heart and helps me to feel a bond. Through your encouraging comments and suggestions, just knowing that you are not alone in so many things. It is the "errand of Angels"....to lift and support, comfort and bless. I love the picture challenge that some of you are sharing. It shows the joy and fulfillment you find in family and the beauties of nature. What awesome people you all are!!
